Location: Inverkeithing, Scotland 



Salary: £32,000 - £34,400 dependent on experience

Monday – Thursday 8.00 – 16.30, Friday 08.00 – 16.00

We are looking for an experienced Service Workshop Engineer to work in our workshop in Scotland. 



We are looking for someone who has a background in welding along with knowledge and experience of working with commercial vehicles.

What you will be doing: 





  • Carrying our Maintenance and repairs to tanker bodies and all associated equipment and systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical circuits 




  • Carrying out servicing and repairs on both Whale and Non-Whale vehicles and completing sign offs 




  • Post build fabrications & modifications of body equipment and associated parts 




  • Carrying out welding repairs, completing your work in a timely and organised manner 




  • Maintaining a clean, organised and productive work area, and adhering to Health and Safety regulations 




  • You will liaise with key departmental supervisors, coordinators, external customers and internal departments 




  • Any other ad hoc duties associated with this role 





 



We are looking for someone who has / is: 





  • Knowledge and experience of working with commercial vehicles, plant machinery or HGV vehicles 




  • An engineering background, including knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical circuits 




  • A background in welding is desirable, but not essential 




  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the desire to learn on a day-to-day basis 




  • Practical and decisive nature with the ability to manage your own time 




  • The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces would be desirable 





For this role, the ability to drive is essential!
