The University of Manchester is the largest single site university in the UK and is one of the top universities in the world. This vacancy will be based in the Business Intelligence team within the Directorate of Planning. The Directorate of Planning supports the Universitys strategic planning processes, provides key management information and insight to senior decision makers and manages the submission of statutory student returns to the regulator.

The post holder will become a member of the Universitys Analyst Network, coordinated by the BI team, and will have a key role in helping us transform our ways of working and outputs. The post holder will primarily undertake analysis on a range of internal and external/ national datasets to generate insight that supports decision-making, aligned to the University goals, and will contribute to the teams objectives in improving the visualisation, reporting and dissemination of key insights, alongside the promotion of a self-service automation model for routine requests.

The successful applicant will have relevant experience in undertaking analysis of large datasets and producing accessible and visually-appealing business intelligence to a high standard. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high quality data/management information, data integrity, information governance best practice and deriving greater value from data. The role holder will have a high attention to detail particularly in ensuring quality and robustness of data analysis, and well-developed numerical and written communication skills.
