Due to internal promotion, we’re offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced events professional to join our award-winning Trust with a reputation for high quality delivery and service.

This is a brilliant opportunity to lead events that will have a real impact on our team, our patients, their families and loved ones. You will lead events from staff awards, to charity fundraisers, national conferences and corporate meetings.

The right person for this role will be a confident communicator who can manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Your excellent interpersonal skills will help you develop good relationships with internal and external stakeholders help you to influence others effectively to meet objectives.

You should have a great track record in events, strong administration skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and an eye for detail.

This is a hybrid role working remotely including around two days per week from Trust HQ in Willerby, East Yorkshire.

The role requires you to have the ability to travel geographically across the Trust.

As Events and Communications Officer, you will design and lead a programme of internal and external events to engage with staff, stakeholders, partners, patients, and members of the public.

You will work closely with Trust Charity, Health Stars to support fundraising efforts and increase public and staff engagement and understanding.

Events include;

Conference and awards

Charity fundraising events e.g. Golf Day/Annual CEO challenge

Celebration events e.g. NHS Birthday, seasonal celebrations (Easter/Christmas)

An annual programme of staff health and wellbeing challenges

Recruitment events

You will;

Support the development of the events programmes ensuring a high-quality offer

Ensure comprehensive records are maintained in relation to event planning and delivery, maximising the use of CRM and other databases

Manage delegate communication including joining instructions and post event follow-up

Conduct appropriate research to inform all aspects of future event planning

Ensure events are value for money

Ensure comprehensive and meaningful evaluation of all events is undertaken to inform future programme and measure impact of programme

Support the communications team with all areas of internal and stakeholder communication as required

Ensure work is delivered on schedule, including ongoing liaison with stakeholders, suppliers and providers.
