THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Manager, the post holder will support the development and delivery of equality, diversity, inclusion, and engagement activities and initiatives to enable ScotRail to achieve its strategic ambitions and fulfil its legislative requirements such as the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED).

THE PERSON:

You will have knowledge and understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and be experienced in the delivery of aspects of this to promote and support an engaged, diverse workforce and inclusive working culture and environment.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Degree level qualification in a related discipline or equivalent qualification or relevant work experience.
  • Awareness and understanding of equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement issues and best practice principles and application.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting the development and delivery of high-quality equality, diversity, inclusion, and engagement activities and initiatives.
  • Analytical and conceptual reasoning skills and able to communicate well in writing.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and influence change.

Hours of work: 35-hour week Monday – Friday. Reference Salary £36,816 per annum

Selection process: Assessment and Interview may form the initial stages of the selection process. The final stage for successful candidates will be a medical questionnaire. Appointees must submit at least two satisfactory references, Disclosure Scotland clearance and complete a six-month probation period.

Training: Training initially involves on-line Induction.
