Action for Children

People Advisor (Change Management focus).

Salary: c£33,075 per annum pro rata.

Location: Remote based in the UK.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract, until 30 September 2024, 35 hours per week.

A bit about the role

Reporting into the People Advice Manager, with a dotted line into change management project HR lead, you will provide a quality advisory and guidance service to managers and staff through consistent and effective application of Action for Children's Human Resources policies and procedures in particular in regard to change management programmes.

How you'll help to create brighter futures

  • Provide a first point of contact for all staff and managers to answer and respond to information requests and advice on HR policies and their interpretation.
  • Provide quality advice that is functionally consistent and accurate to managers, in response to employee relations matters.
  • Using HR system (iTrent) to process all changes as required from the change management process
  • Retain accurate, concise, and clear notes to track cases, ensuring completion of closing procedures for all incident and service requests through the recording system.
  • Adopt a coaching approach, while providing advice and guidance, using agreed techniques, e-learning tools, and systems.

Let's talk about you

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of using HR System - I-Trent.
  • Ability to build credibility for self and the service by establishing and developing excellent relationships.
  • Ability to select, analyse and interpret data.
  • Proven presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to provide and respond to robust challenge, to ensure that the reputation and brand of AfC is maintained.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills to drive and support continuous organisational improvement through service delivery.
  • Working knowledge of key employment law.
