An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Recruitment Assistant who is highly driven, enthusiastic and motivated, to become part of our expanding Recruitment team.

Reporting to the Medical Recruitment Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in the on-boarding process for new employees, including pre-employment checks for Consultants and Junior Doctors.

The successful applicant will be passionate in providing good customer service, being the face of the Trust and conducting ID and right to work checks. Good interpersonal skills are required for the role. You will also have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and be passionate about providing a high quality customer service to our colleagues.

We offer hybrid working as part of our flexible working policy, although there is an expectation for new staff to work mainly in the office for the first few months.

There will be a requirement to work at both King's College Hospital and Princess Royal University Hospital so please explore travel options before applying.

You should have excellent attention to detail. The post holder will be comfortable working with a variety of computer systems and you will be working with NHS HR Systems such as ESR, TRAC and NHS Jobs, however training will be provided.

You will be the first point of contact to prospective candidates and visitors at our on-boarding centre, giving initial advice on recruitment processes and referring to Recruitment Officers or Recruitment Managers where appropriate.

You will deal with telephone and face to face enquiries, initiating action as appropriate and maintain regular and helpful communication with applicants in order to support a smooth, helpful and personal recruitment experience, reducing uncertainty and ensuring positive applicant engagement throughout the process.

You will provide a comprehensive pre-employment checking process, which includes following up references, occupational health clearance, ID and right to work verification; ensuing that new starter paperwork has been completed in an accurate and timely manner.

You will be able to liaise effectively with applicants, hiring managers and other key stakeholders including Occupational Health, to ensure timely completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with service level agreements.

Manage the Trust Induction report on a weekly basis.

Update, and ensure data accuracy in all systems including ESR and Trac; ensuring that personal details, DBS, right to work information, professional registration, ID documents is recorded appropriately.

Liaise effectively with applicants, hiring managers and other key stakeholders including Occupational Health, to ensure timely completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with service level agreements.

Undertake general administrative tasks to support activities of the team such as filing, photocopying, organising meetings etc

Work closely with the Recruitment Team to ensure smooth on-boarding of the new starters.
