We have an exciting opportunity for a diversity and inclusion leader and advisor to join our dedicated team of diversity professionals as Senior Manager, Diversity and Inclusion.

The role

As Senior Manager, Diversity and Inclusion, you will oversee the delivery of the Academy’s ambitious strategy to embed diversity and inclusion across our externally facing programmes and activities. You will report to the Head of Diversity and Inclusion, providing strategic oversight and leadership on several strands of work, notably:

  • Oversee, implement, monitor and evaluate our overarching strategy to embed D&I across our programmes on an ongoing basis and ensure that our approach iterates where necessary as the work develops.
  • Work to embed diversity and inclusion across the Academy’s external programmes and activities. You will use your extensive diversity and inclusion knowledge and experience to provide support, advice, guidance and leadership to senior stakeholders and other colleagues across the Academy on individual projects and issues.
  • Provide leadership of the Academy’s newly launched and first D&I Advisory Service within the D&I team. Provide individual advice on more complex D&I matters to other teams where required. You will also work in partnership with the People team, operations, communications teams and others to ensure that we are building an inclusive culture and embedding D&I best practice in our operations.

You will also support the D&I team more broadly, joining a large team with a wealth of expertise, you will help contribute to the development of best practice and resources, so that the UK has a world-leading and truly inclusive engineering workforce.

Location

Our light, spacious offices are based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy. The D&I Team day is a Wednesday.
