About us

The Department of Anthropology at UCL is a research-led department with an international reputation, offering innovative teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The variety of taught masters programmes we offer reflects the wide range of academic expertise across our department. Our part-time and full-time masters programmes offer a thorough academic grounding that can lead to higher research degrees or straight into the workplace. This role is responsible for the administration of PGT programmes. The role sits within the Education Team, comprising 7 other Teaching and Learning Staff.

About the role

Under the direction of the Teaching and Learning Manager and Senior Teaching and Learning Administrator, and in conjunction with relevant academic, teaching and administrative staff, the postholder will provide specialist administration to designated PGT teaching programmes (as well as other programmes where necessary), ensuring effective procedures are documented and adopted for dealing with all aspects of its administration. They will also be supporting the delivery, coordination, organisation and administration of the full cycle taught programmes, across all functions, with direction from the Senior Teaching Administrator. About you

You will provide support for all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities of students from enquiry to completion, incorporating supporting committees and processes relating to assessment, student and course records; the post requires a high level of teamwork with the other Education Team members. The role holder must be efficient, organised and take great care in attention to detail. In addition, the role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL thus a professional attitude, willingness to help and a positive outlook are required in order to adequately execute the duties outlined.
