We are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician to work in our Paint Shop Area, Re-building our tankers after the painting process has been completed.
What you will be doing:
Working in a team environment to complete various parts of the paint process
Re-Assembly of tanker components after they have been painted using hand tools and power tools to fasten fit and secure components ready for the next part of the production process
Do small, localised repairs to the paint work.
Work to standard operating procedures and engineering data sheets to complete sub-assemblies
Use of plant machinery including forklift truck and overhead crane to fit components to chassis and tank body.
Other parts of the process including chassis and component preparation and build strip down will be part of this role
Opportunities to expand the role to cover shot blasting, vehicle strip down and steam cleaning operations.
We are looking for someone who is:
A positive attitude to problem solving
A good general hands-on assembler / fitter that has the experience to be able to learn & improve the current process we already have.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing build environment
Ability to use a range of hand and power/pneumatic tools
Ability to understand work instructions / SOPs to assemble components for our different tankers
