We are seeking a passionate Violence Reduction Officer, with a proven track record, to make a real impact in supporting our staff and drive our mission to create a safer working environment. If you have experience in investigating incidents, managing a caseload of cases and identifying root causes to violent behaviours this may be the role for you!

Our Violence Reduction Team works closely with a wide range of stakeholders to assist investigation of violent incidents and support victims, namely UHBW employees.

It is our aim that all investigations into incidents of violence towards our staff are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. By working closely with Police, thus aiding investigation and evidence gathering, we are passionate our message "It Stops With Me" is heard loud and clear. Due to the nature of the role, exposure to sensitive and emotive topics including crimes against the person should be anticipated and support will be provided where required.

This role is predominantly desk based with an expectation for site visits and face to face meetings when required.

This role is currently subject to banding.

Your duties will include:
Collaboratively engage with Nursing, Wellbeing and Police and identify additional support mechanisms internal and external to the Trust

Manage compliance against statutory and NHS standards relating to Violence Prevention and Reduction

Support the delivery of the Care Quality Commission objectives to reduce violence and aggression directed towards UHBW staff
Identify and retain evidence to aid investigations electronically.

Develop the Violence Reduction Program with our established and experienced team

Provide specialist guidance and recommendations to UHBW managers and stakeholders regarding violence reduction, victim support and criminal processes.
