Loughborough College is a leading educational institution dedicated to providing high-quality training and development of careers in accounting and finance. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced AAT Tutor to join our dynamic team and deliver exceptional teaching to our Level 2 and Level 3 AAT students and apprentices.



As an AAT Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, engaging, and supportive training to apprentices studying for the AAT qualifications at Levels 2 and 3. You will play a key role in shaping the future of apprentices as they develop the skills needed to thrive in the accounting and finance sector.



Key Responsibilities: 




  • Delivering structured AAT Level 2 and Level 3 lessons through a blend of face-to-face and remote learning methods.

  • Supporting apprentices in both their theoretical and practical learning, ensuring they understand key concepts and can apply them in the workplace.

  • Monitoring and assessing progress, providing regular feedback to apprentices.

  • Developing and delivering engaging and interactive learning resources.

  • Maintaining accurate records of progress, assessments, and attendance.

  • Offering guidance on career development and further professional qualifications within the accounting sector.

  • Working closely with employers to ensure the students are receiving the necessary workplace support and experience where applicable..

  • Keeping up to date with industry developments, the AAT syllabus, and apprenticeship standards. 



Key Requirements: 




  • AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified (or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance).

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.

  • Experience teaching or mentoring students, preferably within an AAT context would be desirable

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A passion for supporting learners and helping them reach their full potential.

  • Experience with using e-learning platforms or virtual learning environments and experience with the AAT is desirable
