As an Area Repairs Manager at Amplius, you’ll lead and manage a team of surveyors in delivering high-quality repair and empty homes services across the region, ensuring a customer-first approach, strong performance, and value for money.

Salary: £56,297.74 (with a car allowance of £2,750.28) per year

Contract: Permanent, full time

Your week: 36.25 hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 5:15pm

Location: Hybrid, with a weekly presence in our Milton Keynes office.

Snapshot of your role

• Lead and support the team to monitor contractor performance, ensuring quality, timeliness and value, and address any underperformance promptly.


• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all contract administration and reporting data, continually improving auditing and reporting processes.


• Extract and analyse data from core systems to support contract management and informed decision-making.


• Support budget forecasting, monitoring and control, recommending remedial action where needed.


• Ensure services meet customer and stakeholder expectations, with clear communication and timely responses to enquiries and escalations.


• Oversee sensitive and robust complaint handling, using feedback to drive continuous improvement.


• Promote collaborative working across teams while ensuring health, safety and risk management requirements are met.


• Lead by example to manage team performance, uphold consistent standards and represent Amplius with internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role

• Experience working as an Area Repairs Manager or similar role.


• Level 4 QCF recognised housing management qualification, or willingness to work towards this.


• Strong knowledge of social housing repairs and maintenance, with a commitment to the values and objectives of Amplius.


• Proven ability to lead, develop and engage remote teams, inspiring confidence, trust and high performance.


• Experience managing performance issues, implementing improvement plans and leading change effectively.


• Skilled in analysing operational data, managing budgets and resources, and identifying risks and opportunities to improve service delivery.


• Good understanding of health and safety, risk compliance, and balancing customer empathy with operational demands.
