Permanent – Full Time - 37.5 Hours



We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Bid Writer to join us in Birmingham and support the bid proposals team (both refurb and new build) in developing and creating the quality responses of winning tender submissions that are concise, compelling and communicate the best of what Lovell do.



Assisting in all activities necessary to achieve the business objectives by supporting the bid writing function, you will assist the Bid Team in:




  • Securing new work

  • Submitting compliant Selection Questionnaires (SQs) and submitting high quality responses to Invitations to Tenders (ITTs).

  • Building a network of internal relationships to support the achievement of these goals.

  • Supporting the team in creating marketing and communications collateral such as PR, website, articles and newsletters.



As our Assistant Bid Writer, you will work with our Bid Writer , preparing and submitting Supplier Questionnaires, Tenders and Bid Documentation, working collaboratively with specialist members of the team and the Partnership Director to seek innovative solutions to customer requirements. You will produce clear, focussed and logical proposals to tight deadlines, maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies and standards.



IT literate with strong project management and organisational skills, you will be a creative thinker and skilled in Adobe InDesign. Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, you will be experienced in bid writing, bid assessments and proof-reading bid responses. With a familiarity with relevant industry regulations and an understanding of existing planned maintenance in social housing, you will be knowledgeable on public funding sources and leverage in addition to various routes to procurement.
