We're excited to recruit for this role at Golding and appoint a Building Safety Lead.
What you'll be doing
You'll manage Golding Homes’ approach to fulfilling the requirements of the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Regulations plus wider health and safety legislation relating to building safety and keeping Golding Homes customers safe in their homes. You'll also act as the Building Safety Manager.
As the Building Safety Lead, you will establish control measures to ensure that key decision gateways are effectively integrated throughout the life of buildings within our housing stock, focusing on building and fire safety.
You’ll be responsible for developing Building Safety Cases for our housing stock and make evidence available for customers. You’ll also ensure our customers have a voice in reporting safety concerns, identify improvements and lessons learnt, and develop swift feedback methods.
More about you. What can you bring?
We’re looking for someone with a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and Diploma (or equivalent). Ideally, you'll be a Chartered Member of IOSH. A Building Safety Management qualification is desirable.
With experience in a similar managerial role, you'll have experience of driving Building Safety standards and performance across operations, as well as hands-on, relevant industry experience and knowledge of the construction industry or repairs & maintenance.
You'll have a demonstrable track record of creating and implementing innovative Building Safety strategies which have significantly enhanced business. You'll have a pragmatic and proactive approach to building safety, with the ability to build strong relationships to influence and engage at all levels of the business to ultimately deliver a strong safety culture.
A full UK driving license is required as you will be expected to be an active presence on site and office locations that Golding Homes own and manage.
When and where you'll be doing it
You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of £58,477 per annum dependent upon your knowledge, skills and experience.
