Do you take pride in keeping spaces clean and welcoming? As a Cleaner, you’ll help maintain high standards across communal areas and offices at Paines Mill, supporting customers’ dignity and wellbeing while keeping the service safe and hygienic.

Salary: £10,491 (FTE £25,877.80) per year

Contract: Permanent, part time

Your week: 15 hours – Monday to Friday 09:00 to 12:00

Snapshot of your role

• Complete cleaning duties in line with the agreed schedule and any support required by customers, as directed by the manager.


• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across communal areas and offices, including surfaces, toilets, windows, vacuuming and dusting.


• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately, following COSHH, Health & Safety and infection control requirements.


• Check cleaning materials are well stocked, report shortages and ensure equipment is maintained and any defects are reported promptly.


• Report customer concerns, risks, safeguarding issues or other concerns to the manager promptly, while maintaining confidentiality and following data protection requirements.


• Attend required training and follow relevant legislation, regulations and local procedures to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above


• Proven experience in cleaning larger buildings and carrying out deep cleans


• A good understanding of COSHH requirements.


• An understanding of Health & Safety procedures and the ability to follow them consistently.


• Good time management, with the ability to work to timescales, achieve results and work independently.


• The physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when required.


• A reliable, professional and honest approach, with good attention to detail and communication skills.
