We’re recruiting Client Payroll Administrators (Entry Level) to join our Education Payroll Services team. This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, detail-oriented and customer-focused, and who are looking to build a career within payroll or shared services.



You’ll play a key role in supporting Payroll Managers and Team Leaders by ensuring payroll administration is accurate, compliant and delivered to a high standard.



This role will be recruited via an In-Person Assessment Centre at our Manchester office on Wednesday 18th February 2026 from 10:00 to 15:30. Please only apply for the role if you are available to attend on this date and time and start the role on Monday 2nd March 2026. 



What you’ll be doing




  • Supporting the accurate processing of client payrolls

  • Managing and maintaining client documentation and records

  • Updating documentation for newly onboarded clients

  • Maintaining monthly spreadsheets and payroll trackers

  • Handling incoming calls and directing queries appropriately

  • Verifying BACS and HMRC submissions for accuracy and timeliness

  • Completing data entry checks and audit log reviews

  • Supporting year-end processes, including distribution of P60s

  • Providing general administrative support to Payroll Managers and Team Leads



What we’re looking for




  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Good organisation and time-management skills

  • A customer-focused mindset with clear communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and support a busy payroll function

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team



Previous experience in payroll or administration is beneficial but not essential — full training and support will be provided.



 



Assessment Centre details




  • Location: IRIS Software, Manchester office

  • Date: Wednesday 18 February 2026

  • Format: Group exercise, task-based assessment and competency interview

  • Start Date: Monday 2nd March 2026
