Job Description
Who are we looking for?
You will be responsible for the effective leadership of electrical design delivery of robotic systems and infrastructure to meet and exceed multinational legislative requirements in a large variety of applications. You'll lead the development of improvements across the electrical quality processes within RACE and support organisational objectives.
You will also define and lead the strategical guidance for Electrical design process at RACE supporting organisational improvements in the discipline. You'll support electrical design engineers with system architecture design utilizing new technologies and component choice suitable for operation in challenging environments.
Qualifications
Essential skills, experience and competence required
- Chartered Engineer or progressing towards chartership
- Technology degree or equivalent experience
- Substantial experience of designing and managing the design of Electrical Systems for machinery, Industrial, Rail or Nuclear industries
- Ability to work with project stakeholders to resolve technical conflicts and pro-active in problem solving
- Ability to deliver highly complex engineering projects from requirements through to commissioning of the systems
- Strong understanding of governance, H&S, and compliance issues
- Proven ability to interact efficiently with people in a variety of different situations including external stakeholders
- Ability to manage people and develop skills to support the growth of the department and organisation
