Student Services supports students at each stage of their journey from pre-entry to post exit. The department has a student orientated culture and puts students’ needs at the heart of everything it does.
As Enrichment Coordinator, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of a diverse programme of high-profile events, activities, extracurricular clubs and projects across the College, aligned with key Support Service development plans and service standards. These activities will encourage positive behaviour, respect, wellbeing, student voice and safety. You’ll actively promote student engagement in enrichment opportunities and wider Support Centre services, working closely with the Student Services Adviser team.
The role also involves supervising Enrichment Officers, youth workers and other enrichment staff within Student Services. In addition, you’ll develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff and external partners to ensure the effective delivery of enrichment provision, while appropriately signposting students and supporting safeguarding and intervention processes where needed.
We’re seeking a candidate with a degree, diploma or equivalent qualification (e.g., Youth and Community Work, minimum Level 5) along with experience supervising and managing staff against service KPIs and improvement plans. You’ll have experience coordinating high-quality activities, projects, workshops and large-scale events (e.g., Freshers’ Fair), as well as managing complex safeguarding cases, including risk assessment, decision-making and coordinating safety and support plans with internal and external partners such as Social Services and the Police.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding ractices, data protection and the ability to conduct robust health and safety risk assessmentsis advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, including written, verbal, and administrative abilities, with empathy, discretion and confidentiality. You should also be highly organised, efficient, and confident using IT systems.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
