Permanent, Part Time (0.5 FTE 18 hours per week over 40 weeks per annum Term-Time only)



The Enrichment Events Officer will support to the delivery of cross college student enrichment activity involving all STCG colleges (Carshalton, Merton, Kingston and South Thames), working closely with the Heads of Student Services and the Student Services Enrichment teams.



You’ll have responsibility for organising and developing cross college enrichment events and activities at agreed points during the academic year. This will include implementing communications and the effective promotion of planned activities to ensure high levels of student engagement, with attendance accurately recorded.



We’d like our Enrichment Events Officer to be qualified to Level 3 (or above) in appropriate area e.g. youth and community, education, psychology, sociology, health and social care, IAG with experience of planning, co-ordinating and delivering activities for young people predominately 16-19 years in an educational setting or similar. You’ll have experience of successfully engaging with high numbers of young people to support them to engage with activities that may support their development based on issues surrounding them and the difficulties students may face.



With a proven record in successful communication with others to support effective partnership working and good working knowledge of barriers to participation and how to increase participation within an educational environment by those not engaging, you’ll have an understanding of relevant external organisations that can be engaged to support and develop enrichment opportunities.



You will be based at South Thames College - Wandsworth however, the role may require some cross-college travel.



The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
