EV Project Engineer
Manchester / Blantyre - Field Based
£40,000 - £45,000 (dependant on skills)

Clarke Connect is seeking a driven and experienced EV Project Engineer to manage and continually improve end-to-end project delivery across our EV and ICP divisions. This is a key engineering role focused on quality, compliance, and the seamless execution of EV infrastructure projects.
The Role
As an EV Project Engineer, you will work across design, build, and delivery teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. From pre-start through to handover, you’ll lead on process improvements, coordinate resources, manage subcontractors, and provide technical oversight across civils and electrical works.
This role requires regular travel to project sites across the UK and attendance at client meetings at our Clarke offices in Blantyre and Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering efficient, margin-optimised EV/ICP projects across the full lifecycle
Programming and scheduling works into the delivery process
Managing site mobilisation, compiling RAMS and H&S packs, and ensuring CDM compliance
Ordering plant, materials and liaising closely with the EV Design Lead
Producing and submitting as-built and red-line drawings for completed projects
Acting as point of contact for customers from mobilisation to final handover
Managing and supporting subcontractors to meet SLAs and address delivery risks
Measuring project performance using Clarke Connect tools and ensuring continuous improvement
Supporting the Project Manager in driving best practice and innovation across delivery
What We’re Looking For
Experience in project delivery within EV, ICP, or similar construction/infrastructure sectors
Knowledge of the EV industry and experience coordinating civil and electrical works
Strong background in subcontractor management and supplier relationships
Solid understanding of CDM regulations, RAMS, and site safety practices
Experience managing complex, multi-site projects and cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience using Sitetracker or similar systems
SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Health & Safety certifications (IOSH, CSCS, NRSWA Supervisor)
Experience setting up or optimising delivery functions
Vendor and partner management background
