Are you an aspiring Financial Leader? We have a fantastic opportunity to join our fast-growing organisation and take the lead on financial reporting for the parent company. At Watford Community Housing, we provide vital services that help people to live better lives.
You will be responsible for financial accounts preparation and the entire budget cycle for capital and revenue activities for Watford Community Housing and its subsidiaries. The role is a Senior Financial Leader role and provides development opportunities that include exposure to Board meetings, Executive and a range of senior stakeholders. This role will provide development and experience for an ambitious candidate looking for Director and Executive level progression. The role will suit an experienced, qualified accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career.
What’s the role?
The postholder will be responsible for and lead the budget cycle from preparation to monitoring, and reporting for revenue and capital which includes a healthy development programme. The postholder will also lead the preparation of the statutory financial accounts and will deliver the service with the support of a team of four staff. You will use your accounting and interpersonal skills to effectively support and challenge budget holders to deliver the Group’s financially secure objective.

You will be a customer-focused leader of the finance reporting function, with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people. You will be numerically strong with sound financial principles. You will have relevant skill and desire to develop your team to meet the current and future demands of an effective finance reporting function.
