Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Habitation Surveyor to work across our vibrant organisation.



Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)



Duration: Permanent



What You’ll Do:




  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries to build loyalty and maintain company reputation.

  • Attend properties at convenient times to survey and resolve reported defects in line with company obligations.

  • Identify appropriate solutions and aim to resolve repairs quickly while minimising commercial and reputational impact.

  • Manage workloads using internal systems, liaising with colleagues, customers and contractors to achieve positive repair outcomes and provide regular updates.

  • Work collaboratively across teams to support service delivery.

  • Monitor and analyse defect trends to drive quality improvements, inform project management practices and support long-term asset strategies.

  • Stay up to date with building regulations, industry standards and best practices to provide technical guidance when required.

  • Carry out progress and post-inspections to ensure value for money, identify service failures, recommend improvements and help prevent recurring issues.



What You’ll Need:




  • Experience or qualification in Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).

  • Good knowledge of the Fitness for Human Habitation Act 2018 and relevant building legislation and regulations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and software packages such as Aareon for mobile working.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
