Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)



About the role

We are seeking an Information Governance Manager to lead the effective and efficient delivery of Information Governance and assurance across the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) Group. You will also play a crucial role as our Data Protection Officer.



As part of a team dedicated to supporting the good governance of the JRF Group, you will contribute to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive service to support the work of both Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, playing an important role as both subject matter expert and critical friend

About you



With an excellent working knowledge of data protection legislation, including the Data Protection Act and UK GDPR, you will have demonstrable recent experience of the implementation, management, promotion and improvement of information governance in complex organisations.



You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll be experienced in advising senior management teams in a multi-disciplinary organisation in relation to data protection and information management responsibilities.



Your experience will include working across internal functional areas – including technical teams – and you’ll have a sound understanding of IT security best practice.
