As our Lead Stock Condition Surveyor, you will lead and coordinate the stock condition survey programme, ensuring high-quality data collection, validation and analysis to inform investment planning and compliance. You’ll manage our team of surveyors, oversee the quality assurance (QA) processes and contribute your technical expertise as well as supporting wider asset management activities.



 



What you’ll bring to our team



You’ll bring strong technical surveying expertise, with experience delivering stock condition surveys and ensuring accurate, high-quality data through effective QA processes. You’ll be confident leading and supporting surveyors, providing sound building pathology advice, and preparing schedules of work, specifications, and reports.



You’ll have a clear understanding of health and safety, CDM regulations, and contractor compliance, alongside experience undertaking EPCs, HHSRS inspections, and disrepair investigations. Customer-focused and collaborative, you’ll work effectively with stakeholders while supporting operational planning, risk management, and budget awareness. You’ll act as a positive brand ambassador and remain flexible in responding to changing operational needs.



 



What we’re looking for




  • Significant experience in building defect identification and stock condition surveying - Essential

  • Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and building pathology - Essential

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Essential

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload - Essential

  • Experience with PAS 2035 – Desirable

  • Understanding of party wall matters – Desirable



 



Qualifications




  • Construction-related degree or equivalent - Essential

  • Domestic Energy Assessment qualification – Essential

  • HHSRS qualification – Essential

  • CDM Regulation knowledge – Essential

  • Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB) – Desirable

  • P405 Asbestos Management – Desirable

  • SMSTS – Desirable

  • NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction (UK) – Desirable
