The Creative Industries School at Kingston College is seeking a passionate and industry-savvy Media Lecturer to join their team. You’ll deliver engaging and practical vocational content on a range of courses and levels. This role requires a dynamic, proactive and experienced educator who is highly organised and committed to both academic and pastoral support for students. You’ll deliver exciting and industry-relevant teaching, supporting students in developing higher-level skills and understanding of past, present, and future trends in Creative Media.

You’ll be able to utilise a range of media production techniques, with knowledge in some or all of the following: radio, podcasting, audio, journalism and print, film and TV broadcasting, social and online media, visual effects, motion capture, and animation; production management. You’ll have strong digital skills and be able to use relevant software, particularly the Adobe Suite including After Effects, Premiere and audio software.

As our Lecturer, we’d like you to hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and be recognised as a good or outstanding teacher. You will hold a degree or higher qualification, or an equivalent professional qualification, in a subject area relevant to Creative Media.

You will bring experience of successfully monitoring and supporting at-risk learners, helping them to achieve or exceed their potential, alongside a strong understanding of what constitutes excellent evidence-based teaching, learning and assessment. The role also requires strong industry knowledge to support meaningful work experience and industry placements, which form an integral part of our Study Programme offer.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
