We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Services Officer to work within our Property Services Department. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of high performance.
The individual will be expected to work alone as well as part of a team. You will be required to attend various locations to inspect, diagnose and raise works orders for repairs and maintenance. You will play an integral part in the delivery of our Responsive Repairs contract along with supporting the management of our approved contractors to ensure they deliver works to a high quality, on time and to specification.

As a Property Services Officer, you will be required to attend various locations/properties to inspect, diagnose, produce technical surveys, specifications and raise works orders for repairs and maintenance. You will need to obtain quotations and estimates in line with South Yorkshire Housing Association’s Financial Framework whilst showing Value for Money. You will provide advice to other staff members and Residents with regarding Repairs and Maintenance issues.
As part of your role, you will also be expected to record and collate accurate information onto South Yorkshire Housing Association’s IT system. You will be required to carry out effective post inspections to assess quality and value of works along with works in progress checks. The PSO will be tasked with monitoring and managing Works in Progress and overdue works orders for their service area.
You will play an integral part in the delivery of our Responsive Repairs contract along with supporting in the management of our approved contractors to ensure they deliver works to a high standard, on time and to specification.
The role will be required to provide cover for other Property Services Officers as workloads dictate. You will be responsible for health and safety in the workplace as defined in the Health and Safety policy and you will need to participate in any training and development which is relevant to the post.
The role will report to Paul Allen, Contract Manager for Responsive Repairs and Voids.
