Are you an experienced heating or plumbing engineer ready to work with modern renewable systems?



 



At Fairhive, we’re growing our renewable services and are looking for a skilled Renewable Operative to help deliver high-quality, sustainable heating solutions across our homes. This is a great opportunity to develop your expertise in air source heat pump systems while making a genuine difference to residents’ comfort, safety, and energy efficiency.



 



About the role



 



You’ll be responsible for delivering a full range of air source heat pump (ASHP) services across occupied and void properties, including servicing, repairs, fault diagnosis, and supporting installations.



 



Your role will include:



 




  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing air source heat pumps and domestic heating systems 



 




  • Diagnosing faults and delivering a right-first-time, cost-effective solution



 




  • Inspecting properties to assess and plan required works 



 




  • Recording all work accurately using a PDA system



 




  • Supporting both planned and reactive maintenance programmes 



 




  • Working collaboratively with the wider heating team, including supporting gas servicing when required



 



As a key representative of Fairhive, you’ll provide a professional, friendly service to residents, ensuring a positive customer experience on every visit.



 



You’ll also take part in a call-out rota to support emergency repairs outside of normal working hours.



 



What we’re looking for



 



We’re looking for a skilled tradesperson with strong technical knowledge and a customer-first mindset.



 



You’ll have:



 




  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Plumbing, Heating, or Mechanical Installation (or equivalent) 



 




  • ACS qualifications and Gas Safe registration 



 




  • Experience working with domestic heating systems, ideally including air source heat pumps 



 




  • Full UK driving licence



 




  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability



 




  • Good IT skills (PDA / job systems) 



 




  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
