The role is to teach 1 day a week (5.5 hours) for 32 weeks.



The School of Employability at South Thames College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Accounting lecturer to teach AAT Accounting (specifically the level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting) ensuring the success of students studying for professional career development qualifications.



You’ll take responsibility for high quality delivery of student learning and assessment for the AAT level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting to adult students on professional programmes, maintaining high standards of learning and teaching to meet the expectations of the College, student cohorts and the awarding bodies.



We’d like you to hold a degree or post-graduate degree in Accounting and Finance, hold professional level qualifications in AAT or ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) and have working knowledge from an accounting background. With a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards), you’ll have a successful record of teaching AAT in accounting and meet the standards specified by AAT to teach on AAT qualifications (approval from AAT is required).



You’ll have excellent IT skills, particularly in accounting related software e.g. Sage, Excel Spreadsheets, able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. You’ll be a strong communicator, able to communicate effectively at all levels and able to use initiative, organise and prioritise.
