Our mission is to ensure our neighbourhoods are vibrant, safe and attractive with community services that meet the needs of local residents. Our Street Services team is central to this, taking pride in our borough and keeping Greenwich clean and green.

Street Services provides a highly important service to all the borough's residents and visitors from sweeping roads to collecting and emptying household and business waste bins. This is a vital front-line service and has a huge impact on residents and the community.

Our Waste Operatives play a crucial role - this role involves collecting and emptying household and business waste bins. You will work as part of a team of three and will work anywhere in the borough. The service operates two shifts (AM and PM) between the hours of 6am and 8pm. Starting salary £24,804 + allowances
