We are seeking an experienced and passionate Motor Vehicle professional to join our high-performing STEP School as a Workplace Assessor /Lecturer. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of automotive technicians while supporting apprentices in real-world industry settings.
You’ll deliver engaging classroom and workshop sessions and support learner progress, achievement, and progression. You’ll assess apprentices in the workplace and conduct employer visits and health & safety checks.
As our Assessor/Lecturer, you’ll have expertise in at least two of the following areas: vehicle diagnostics, maintenance and repair, and automotive systems. You’ll hold relevant industry qualifications and/or have substantial experience within the automotive sector, together with an Assessor and/or IV qualification in an engineering-related discipline. Experience of successfully delivering and assessing motor vehicle apprenticeship standards is essential.
You’ll also hold a teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards one, and demonstrate an understanding of academic quality standards. Confident in the use of technology to enhance teaching, learning and assessment, you’ll be highly organised, self-motivated, and committed to student success. The ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high professional standards is essential.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
