Building Surveyor  



Peterborough (Remote) 



£44,179 - £46,504 plus car allowance 



 



Full time – 37 hours a week – Peterborough/Remote 



Make a real impact by joining our Planned and Cyclical Works Team. You'll manage high-quality planned, cyclical, and service programs, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and health and safety standards. Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and internal stakeholders. 



Key Responsibilities: 





  • Contract Management: Procure and manage major works, service, and cyclical contracts from start to finish, ensuring compliance with legislation and health and safety (CDM). 




  • Technical Expertise: Conduct surveys, produce specifications, analyse defects, create drawings, tender documentation, and technical reports. 




  • Customer Relationships: Build and manage relationships with internal and external customers, delivering professional service and keeping everyone informed. 




  • Team Supervision: Oversee apprentice/trainee/assistant surveyors to ensure effective delivery of asset management services. 




  • Financial Control: Ensure financial controls and costs are in place, achieving value for money and adhering to CKH Standing Orders & Financial Regulations. 




  • Performance Monitoring: Manage contractor performance, monitor compliance, and report on key performance indicators. 




  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with Health and Safety (CDM) regulations. 




  • Quality Inspections: Conduct pre and post works inspections, manage quality and performance, and report monthly. 





 



What We're Looking For 





  • Minimum HNC in Building Studies or equivalent, or relevant professional experience. 




  • Experience in managing building projects from inception to completion, including contract administration. 




  • Understanding of construction technology, building regulations, planning regulations, and health and safety standards. 




  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. 




  • Experience in providing high levels of customer care. 





 



Additional Information 





  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to an insured vehicle. 




  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if required. 




  • DBS check required.
