Building Surveyor - Damp and Mould    



£41,269.80 per annum   



Bromsgrove, Worcestershire   



Full Time, Permanent

We’re looking for an additional Building Surveyor to join our existing team, focusing on issues around damp, mould and condensation. Your technical qualifications will ensure you have the right skills for the role, but your customer care and communication abilities will be just as important.   



  



The role  



  



You’ll work within the Asset Management and Development Directorate to successfully deliver the annual planned / capital / cyclical works programmes and services. This role is intended to focus primarily on issues around damp, mould and condensation (DMC).  



  



By maintaining excellent communication with customers and bdht staff you will ensure the provision of excellent customer service. You’ll meet our timescales for responding to severe and moderate DMC cases and will monitor the wider housing sector for better ways of working and dealing with DMC.  



  



You’ll conduct pre and post inspection surveys in compliance with HHSRS regulations; to diagnose potential or existing damp and mould, disrepair cases and you’ll maintain accurate and detailed records of visits and inspection findings.  



  



About you  



  



With an HNC/HND minimum in Building Construction or similar recognised qualification, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of working within the construction industry and will have a proven track record surveying damp and mould issues.  



  



You will have excellent communication skills and be proficient in the use of basic IT systems including the ability to use handheld technology to record client management information.
