We are seeking a Children and Young Person Counselling Coordinator to join our team at Derbyshire WISH and provide vital face-to-face counselling services. This role will see you not only managing a caseload of young clients but also supporting volunteer counsellors and building partnerships with educational institutions and other support services.
At Derbyshire WISH we provide refuge and community based (outreach) support to adults and children who are experiencing domestic abuse. We’re part of the wider NCHA family and we offer our services to both women and men (dispersed only) with or without children who are fleeing domestic abuse and need a safe place to stay, and to those out in the community who are living with the impact of domestic abuse.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to help children and young people affected by domestic abuse cope and recover through therapeutic interventions. As the Children and Young Person Counselling Coordinator you will have a variety of duties and responsibilities which will include but are not limited to:
