The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Communications Manager - Breathe Cities to join our ambitious and high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   



As a Communications Manager with Clean Air Fund you would help to …



To be successful in this role you will have




  • Significant experience in leading strategic communications and/or marketing, for example in an NGO, start-up, consultancy or agency.

  • Experience delivering a variety of innovative and successful communication campaigns from concept to completion.

  • Good judgement of what makes engaging content, including social media posts and graphics, blogs and articles, photos and videos, and experience of working with partners to produce this.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience of working effectively with partners, including experience of managing suppliers and/or public relationship agencies in a global environment.

  • Demonstrable project management and organisational skills, with attention to detail and an ability to juggle different projects at the same time while maintaining high standards.

  • Proven ability to think and act strategically and to be solution- and outcome-focused, with experience in working in teams that design and execute strategies on complex issues.

  • Advanced written English and excellent communications skills in-person and in writing.

  • Experience of using a CMS such as Wordpress and analytical platforms such as Google Analytics.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital trends and good practice, and experience of applying this to shape strategies, campaigns and content.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective networks and collaborate with and manage diverse team members effectively, including directing colleagues within a matrix structure (providing guidance, feedback and development).

  • Demonstrable alignment with the Clean Air Fund’s mission, values and goals.

  • Closing date – 7th September, 2023

  • Salary – £52,000 - £58,000

  • Type of employment - Fixed Term - 3 year contract with possibility to extend

  • Hybrid working is included in Clean Air Fund’s policies. Home working can be facilitated for up to 50% of the time.
