About the role
We are working to build and develop strong empowered communities without poverty or isolation, to ensure that everyone has a decent home in a good place and that everyone has a good living standard and prospects.
The Customer Access Adviser has a key role in ensuring that customer focused services are delivered. You will provide a range of services and information which results in well managed homes and neighbourhoods, ensuring a proficient and equitable service for everyone who comes into contact with JRHT in line with internal policy and external regulatory controls.
As main point of contact, you’ll co-ordinate specific aspects of the team’s function for example, raising repair requests, handling queries in respect of repairs, housing and general tenancy matters, handling card or cheque payments, as well as carrying out the administrative functions related to those tasks.
About you
With knowledge of the work of a Housing Association and understanding the role of Social Housing, you’ll be able to understand and communicate complex housing information clearly and in a friendly, accessible manner. With experience of delivering front line customer service or other relevant experience of dealing with the public, you’ll be polite and well mannered, able to remain calm under pressure and use own initiative and be proactive.
You’ll be an excellent communicator, with strong verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with tenants, resolve queries, and ensure clarity in all interactions. You’ll be able to interpret complex information provided and use it to give clear advice with the ability to use initiative to make decisions in line with policy guidelines, training and on the job experience.
Working with sensitive and confidential data with a good understanding of GDPR, you’ll be able to demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and be committed to working effectively with residents and diverse groups and support colleagues by sharing tasks, information and technical skills, working flexibly to ensure the business requirements are met.
