As our Information Governance and Privacy Officer, you will support the organisation to handle information safely, lawfully and responsibly. Reporting to the Data Protection and Information Governance Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring that personal and organisational information is protected and managed in line with legal and regulatory requirements.

The role includes policy development, compliance monitoring, case management, risk assessment and the provision of information governance advice. You will work with teams across the organisation to ensure information risks are identified, managed and reported appropriately.

What we’re looking for

  • A relevant data protection or information governance qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

  • Experience working in data protection, information governance or a related compliance role

  • Good understanding of data protection legislation and regulatory expectations

  • Ability to interpret requirements and explain them clearly to others

  • Experience responding to information requests such as Subject Access requests, and data protection complaints in line with GDPR

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

For the full list of responsibilities and the person specification, please review the full recruitment pack linked below.

Successful applicants are responsible for producing proof of entitlement to work in the UK before employment can commence. Cobalt cannot sponsor candidates without a current visa which allows for full-time UK-based working.
