The Creative Industries School at Kingston College are seeking a passionate and industry-savvy Media Lecturer to join their team. You’ll deliver engaging and practical vocational content on a range of courses and levels.



This role requires a dynamic, proactive and experienced educator who is highly organised and committed to both academic and pastoral support for students. You’ll deliver exciting and industry-relevant teaching, supporting students in developing higher-level skills and understanding of past, present, and future trends in Creative Media.



You’ll be able to utilise a range of media production techniques, with knowledge in some or all of the following: radio, podcasting, audio, journalism and print, film and TV broadcasting, social and online media, visual effects, motion capture, and animation; production management. You’ll have strong digital skills and be able to use relevant software, particularly the Adobe Suite including After Effects, Premiere and audio software.



As our Lecturer, we’d like you to hold a degree (or higher) or relevant professional qualification in Creative Media, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and be recognised as a good/outstanding teacher. You’ll have experience of successfully monitoring and supporting “at-risk” learners to achieve or exceed their potential and have a thorough understanding of what makes for excellent evidence-based teaching, learning and assessment including being a reflective practitioner with the ability to conceive and implement innovative approaches.



You’ll have good industry knowledge to support work experience and industry placements that are integral to the Study Programme offer and have a strong commitment to equality and diversity, safeguarding, personalised learning and the provision of educational excellence.



The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
