Croydon office location with Hybrid working 

£40,000 to £45,000 per annum plus Civil Service Pension

We are looking for a Senior Payments Administrator to join our Payments and Transfer team and put our members at the heart of everything you do by leading the delivery of an excellent member payments service that consistently pays the right member the right amount at the right time. 

The Senior Payments Administrator is supported by Payment Administrators in the preparation and the running of high membership and value payrolls.  The Senior is responsible for ensuring that all payments in and out are reconciled and for reviewing and authorising work from the Payments Administrators as well as of other Seniors.  

This role will also provide technical payroll guidance to assist our Pension Administration and Contact Centre teams, as well other teams within the organisation, ensuring a high payroll technical knowledge is maintained. 

Our ideal applicant will have experience of working in a payroll environment, including PAYE and RTI submissions to HMRC.  We are looking for someone that has the ability to manage and prioritise the workloads of themselves and other team members, they will be able to demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities and have the ability to perform complex manual tax calculations.
