Permanent - Full Time (36.25 hours per week)



Here at Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH), we are looking for a PMO Lead to oversee the delivery and management of the organisations change governance processes, ensuring effective portfolio planning, resource management and adherence to standardised methodologies.



As our PMO Lead, you will guide the PMO Team and maintain a toolkit of standardised methodologies and best practices for project management. In addition to line managing the PMO & Governance Support, you will support colleagues throughout the change process, enabling informed decision making through governance structures, project audits, and post implementation reviews.



Key Areas of Work:




  • Manage the new change request process and ensure that all change requests are logged, evaluated, and progressed.

  • Maintain the project portfolios key information such as the RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), resource planner, benefits tracker, lessons learned log, decision log and action tracker.

  • Support effective portfolio planning, ensuring change initiatives are scheduled appropriately.

  • Service change governance processes, ensuring that decision makers have the necessary information to make informed decisions.

  • Complete regular project audit.

  • Manage and oversee the Post Implementation Review (PIR).

  • Maintain and update the business improvement teams toolkit.



Who are we looking for?




  • Educated to degree level or can evidence equivalent experience in a change / business improvement / project management related role.

  • Hold a programme management or project management office (PMO) qualification (desirable).

  • Good knowledge of governance frameworks with experience servicing governance boards.

  • Experience in maintaining comprehensive portfolio information (RAID logs, resource planners, and benefits tracker).

  • Able to conduct project audits, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and project management methodologies.

  • Experience in project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 and Agile.

  • A familiarity with the continuous improvement cycle.



A highly organised individual with an eye for detail, you will ensure that portfolio information is meticulously maintained, and all governance processes are followed accurately. With strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving skills, you will be comfortable synthesizing large volumes of project data to make informed recommendations.
