At Grand Union Housing Group, we’re growing our team to better serve our communities. We’re looking for an additional Property Manager to join us and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the homes and environments of our customers.
Our office is in Milton Keynes, and the role involves extensive travel across areas we operate in, including Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.
Salary: £47,025 per year
Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week: 36.5 hours Monday to Friday 8.45am – 5pm)
Snapshot of your role
Oversee the management of 1,000–1,500 properties in the assigned area.
Collaborate with the Area Property Manager to coordinate property services.
Lead a team of in-house operatives to deliver responsive repairs, estate maintenance, and compliance testing.
Ensure properties maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers.
Take ownership of property services, including repairs, planned works, and surveys.
Manage performance to achieve targets and conduct quality inspections of completed works.
Oversee insurance claims, estate services, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Motivate and develop the team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused service.
Participate in the emergency call-out rota and manage Grand Union’s out of hours emergency service.
Your toolkit for success
Lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve goals effectively.
Communicate clearly at all levels and influence decisions through negotiation.
Manage risks, budgets, and reactive repair operations with ownership and accountability.
Provide mentorship and support to colleagues while fostering collaboration.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and current legislation.
Leverage experience in contractor management and customer-facing roles.
A qualification in a Surveying / Building discipline
A full UK driving license and DBS clearance are both essential as this role involves frequent travel and visits to customer’s home.
